I was listening to the closing keynote given by Joe Rotella, when he said, “social media is about acceleration.” He was explaining the difference between social media and advertising. He said advertising is about velocity. Social media does take time. It’s a slow build but once it gets going it takes off. That idea reminded me immediately of a video a professor had made my class watch last year. It made a profound impact on me. The video makes several predictions about media.
